You can use this Hot Oil Treatment as both a warm application or a cold application. We include a plastic cap for you to use for both applications. For a Hot Oil Treatment just warm up some of the oil and work it thruough your hair with your fingers. Massage the oil into your scalp, then put the cap on, wrap a towel around your head and sit for about 20 minutes while the Oil Treatment works its magic. For a cold oil treatment (this one is great for hair loss and thinning hair), apply the oil treatment room temp to your hair running the oil through your hair with your fingers. Massage the oil into the scalp. Put the cap on and leave it on for a good couple of hours. Or you can even sleep with the cap on overnight. With both applications you will want to follow up with a good shampooing.

Depending on how long your hair is, or how much oil you have applied, you may need 2 shampoos. Here’s an idea of the amount of oil to use for each application. For Fine hair 1-3 tablespoons works well. For Thick Hair 3-6 tablespoons is sufficient and Textured Hair then approximately 5-8 tablespoons works well.
